Myanmar military coup leaders shut down Twitter and Instagram

International Desk: After Facebook, Myanmar has shut down Twitter and Instagram. The US media CNN published this news on Saturday morning.

Myanmar's Ministry of Transport and Communications has ordered mobile network and Internet service providers to shut down Twitter and Instagram. The Norwegian company Telenor has given this information. Telenor provides mobile services in Myanmar.

Netblocks monitors Internet service disruptions and shutdowns around the world. They have also confirmed the news. Meanwhile, Twitter authorities have expressed deep concern over the Myanmar authorities' initiative.
A military coup took place in Myanmar on February 1. Along with several members of her party, state leader Aung San Suu Kyi, were detained. The country's president has also been detained. After that, the military government is imposing ban on social media one after another.
