Muggers hack university student

Sun News Desk : The Muggers hacked a female student of East West University in the capital Dhaka on Sunday night, leaving her seriously injured.

Injured Apurna Akter Iti is a student of the Pharmacy Department of East West University.

His classmate Tanver Kayes said three or four snatchers stopped her at Block-B around 10:15 pm on her way home from a gym and asked to give them mobile phone, money and bag with her.

He also said that a scuffle took place between her and the muggers when she refused to give them these things. At one stage, they hacked her with sharp weapons and fled the scene.

Abul Kalam Azad, Badda Police Station officer in-charge, said the injured student was admitted to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital.
