International Desk: A group of monkeys killed a child, after abducting the twins by removing the ceiling tiles. In another incident, an 8-year-old child has died in a monkey attack in India. The incident took place in Thanjavur in Tamil Nadu on Saturday, India Today reported.

The mother Bhuvaneshwari was cooking and her husband Raja went to work. The monkeys entered their bedroom removing the ceiling tiles. She heard monkeys screaming from a distance and hurried towards the house. At that time, the stry monkeys took away the twins.

When the frightened woman started shouting for help, the neighbors also came running from the area and started looking for the children. At this time, a monkey is seen sitting on the roof with a child in its lap. When he was chased, he left the child there and fled.

But another child was flung in the air, where she hit the drain and died. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Her body has been sent for autopsy.

The locals were terrified by the incident. After receiving the news, the police came to inspect the area. According to the locals, a total of 4-5 monkeys are roaming around the area.
