Biden's aide resigns over threats to journalists

International Desk: A Biden aide has resigned over threats against a journalist. His resignation was accepted by the White House on Saturday (February 13th).

He threatened a journalist for questioning White House Deputy Spokesman TJ Daklow about his personal affairs. For this reason he was suspended without pay for a week. But now President Joe Biden's administration has accepted his resignation. White House Press Secretary Jane Pasaki said in a statement.

According to Vanity Fair Magazine, the journalist questioned Daclo's months-old relationship with Palmer reporter Alexei McMahon. Daklo then threatened to kill Palmeri over the phone.

Pasaki said the White House accepted Daclo's resignation on Saturday evening. Joe Biden served as National Press Secretary during Biden's 2020 election campaign.

"I have no language to express my regret," he said in a statement on Twitter. It was a very disgusting, disrespectful and unacceptable comment.

He said his remarks embarrassed and dissatisfied President Joe Biden, along with other White House colleagues.

One day after being sworn in as president, Biden warned White House staff about misconduct.
