Khaleda Zia will be sent to jail

Sun News Desk: Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said that Khaleda Zia will be sent to jail again if the BNP goes superfluous in the name of anti-government movement.

She said that "Khaleda Zia is sick and old." Her brothers and sisters, sister-in-law came to me and applied. We suspended her sentence and allowed her to stay at home. I gave it for humanitarian reasons. But if they overdo it, I will send her to jail again.

The prime minister made the threat while speaking at a discussion organised by Awami League in observance of 'Jail Killing Day' at at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka on Thursday.

Sheikh Hasina said 'What is their (BNP) situation today? Today they have to save their democracy. The party that was born from the pocket of the military ruler by illegally occupying power, will they save democracy again? That is my question. After hearing that, some people joined them. Where is their wisdom? Do they not understand the reality? And where is the leadership?

Awami League President said that Khaleda Zia was convicted in the Zia Charitable Trust case. She was sentenced to seven years. If we talk about the Zia Orphanage Trust case, the orphans did not get the huge amount of money that came from abroad in the name of the orphans. All the money coming in the name of that trust went to the account in her own name.

She said that "The caretaker government filed that case and got 10 years in jail." Their favorite Yazddin, Moinuddin and Fakhruddin filed the case. On the other hand, Tariq Rahman is a fugitive convicted in the August 21 grenade attack and 10 truckloads of weapons cases.
