India Passed a Bill to Repeal the Agricultural Law

International Desk: India has passed a bill to repeal the Agriculture Act.

The Speaker adjourned the session till 12 noon local time in both the Houses of Parliament to demand discussion on the Agriculture Act.

Later, when the session started at 12 noon, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar introduced the Agriculture Act Repeal Bill-2021. It was passed immediately by voice vote.

Earlier, peasant movements started in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan demanding repeal of controversial agricultural laws. The peasants saw the face of success after the continuous movement.
