India officially handed over the 'gift vaccines' to Bangladesh

DHAKA: ndia. has officially handed over 2 million doses of corona vaccine to Bangladesh.High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami handed over the gift vaccine to Foreigh Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen at the Padma State Guest House at 1.30 pm on Thursday (January 21).

Health Minister. Zahid Malek, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam and many government officials were present in the ceremony.

“The gift comes as a token of friendship and commitment to our neighbouring country,” Doraiswami said while addressing the event. It will certainly strengthen
existing relationship betwwen these countries, headded.
Earlier, the consignment of 20 lakh doses of vaccine received as a gift from India arrived at Shahjalal International Airport at 11:20 am.The vials were then taken from the airport fto Tejgaon district EPI cold storage around 12:30 noon.
