7 Razakars sentenced to death

Sun News Desk : The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT-1) sentenced 7 Razakars from Bagerhat to death in a crimes against humanity case.

Justice Md Shahinur Islam, Chairman of the three-judge panel of the ICT-1, today passed the order.

The convicts are Khan Akram Hossain, Sheikh Md Ukil Uddin, Md Mokbul Mollah, Khan Ashraf Ali, Rustam Ali Mollah, Sheikh Idris and Sheikh Rafiqul Islam.

Of them, Hossain, Mollah and Uddin are in jail and the rest four are absconding.

On August 1, 2018, the tribunal framed seven charges of crimes against humanity against 9 accused in the case. Names of the two accused were dropped from the case as they died.
