Sun News Desk : Six people have been killed and three others injured in a collision between a microbus and an auto-rickshaw at Gowainghat in Sylhet Thursday.

Of the deceased, three were identified as auto-rickshaw driver Md Kalon, 35, microbus driver Abu Taher, 50 and Mawlana Kazi Amir Uddin, 42, teacher of Parua Anwara High School and College in the upazila.
KM Nazrul Islam, Gowainghat Police Station officer-in-charge, confirmed the matter.

Police said the accident happened at around 8:30 am when a microbus hit a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Sundragaon area on the Sylhet-Bholaganj Road under Nandirgaon union. Five people died on the spot and four others injured.
Later, one of the injured died on the way to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
