Five killed as truck hits auto

Sun News Desk: Five people have been killed after a truck rammed an auto-rickshaw in Joypurhat's Khetlal upazila on Monday.

All the deceased were passengers of the auto-rickshaw.

Two of them were identified as Md Amjad, the driver of the auto-rickshaw, and passenger Shahinur Begum.

Rezaul Islam, a sub-inspector of Khetlal Police Station, said the accident happened in Maligari area around 11:15am where two people died on the spot. Three others were declared dead after they were rushed to a local hospital.
