Own Correspondent: 3 out of 4 people of the same family have died due to gas cylinder explosion in the capital's Dhamrai.

They died while undergoing treatment in ICU at Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Sunday (March 31) and Monday (April 1).

The deceased are Nurul Islam (55), his wife Sufia Begum (40) and son HSC candidate Sohag Hossain (18).

Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute resident surgeon Dr. confirmed this. Tariqul Islam said, last Wednesday (March 27) 4 members of the same family were brought to our emergency department. Later, Sufia Begum died yesterday at 11:30 in a burnt condition. 80 percent of his body was burnt.

He also said that Nurul Islam died early today. 48 percent of his body was burnt. Later Sohag Hossain died at 12:15 PM. 43 percent of his body was burnt.

The explosion took place in Mokam Tola of Ward No. 2 of Dhamrai Municipality of the capital in the early hours of March 27. 4 people of the same family were burnt.
