International Desk: At least 11 people were killed and four others injured in a terrible fire on a factory in India's capital New Delhi, reports NDTV.

Eleven people have been killed in a fire of a market area in Delhi's Alipur on Thursday evening. The fire started in a paint factory and later spread to two Warehouses and a de-addiction center, fire officials said.
Officials said that Eleven people were found burned in a factory in Dayalpur Market. Four people injured in the fire, including a policeman, are now under treatment.

An explosion was heard in the factory before the fire broke out and officials suspect that the explosion may have been caused by chemicals stored there.
Director of Delhi Fire Service Atul Garg said "The fire at one point spread to a neighboring house and drug addiction center." There was also an explosion that caused the building to collapse. Eleven workers lost their lives. The bodies were completely burnt, making it difficult to identify them.

He also said that the exact cause of the fire is yet to be known and a search operation is underway to find the missing persons.
