Writ in the High Court than Compensation

Death by Dirt Truck

Staff Reporter: A lawyer has filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking compensation of Tk 5 crore to the families of two people killed in a recent accident in Dhaka City Corporation.

High Court lawyer Barrister Fayez Ahmed filed the writ petition in the concerned branch of the High Court on Monday (December 13). In the writ petition, 2 City Corporation of Dhaka has been made a defendant.

It may be mentioned that a student of Notre Dame College named Naeem Hasan (17) was killed in a garbage truck of Dhaka South City Corporation at Gulistan Roundabout in the capital on November 24. The next day, a journalist named Ahsan Kabir was killed in a Dhaka North City Corporation garbage truck accident in the Panthapath area.
