The eldest son was made Crown Prince by the Sultan of Oman

International Desk: Haitam bin Tariq Al Saeed has nominated his eldest son as the Crown Prince of Oman.

This is the first time in the history of a Middle Eastern country that a Crown Prince has been nominated. Sultan Haitam bin Tariq Al Saeed confirmed the nomination process by announcing a new legacy law on Tuesday. On Monday, the Sultan issued the first decree or directive in this regard. The announcement was made via the Twitter account of the Ministry of Communications of Oman. The announcement did not name the Crown Prince, but said his eldest son, Yazan bin Haitam, was the Crown Prince. Dhi Yazan is currently in charge of the government's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs.

Article 5 of the new basic law states that in the absence of the Sultan, his eldest son will be the Sultan. In this way, according to the age of the children, they will get the status of Sultan.
