International Desk: Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, have been vaccinated against coronavirus. A spokesperson from Buckingham Palace said yesterday, Sources in the British royal family have published the information on the BBC.
The Queen and her husband were inoculated the first dose of the corona vaccine on Saturday (January 9th) administered by a household doctor at Windsor Castle, the BBC reported.
The 94-year-old Queen and 99-year-old Philip have been in the palace since the lockdown. More than one million people in the UK have already received the corona vaccine to survive the epidemic. People over 80 were firs to get the vavvine. Now the monarchs get their dose.
Meanwhile, the number of infections and deaths has been rising every day in the UK since the outbreak of the new variant of coronavirus. New lockdowns have been announced in various parts of the UK to prevent infection.
"The number of cases in London has increased rapidly. The situation in London is now critical with the spread of the virus out of control," Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said in a statement.
It was reported that Covid 10 also hit close to the royal home last year, but all recovered.
