Madaripur Correspondent: At least 10 people including the easybike driver were injured in a clash between two groups of District Chhatra League over a trivial incident in Madaripur.

The incident took place at the old bus stand area of the city on Sunday (February 11) afternoon.
According to sources, politics of Madaripur District Chhatra League is divided into two parts. Some followers of Shahjahan Khan. The other part is the followers of Bahauddin Nashim.
At one point, a fight broke out between Suman, a follower of Bahauddin Nashim, and Sajib Sardar, a follower of Qazi Shajahan Khan, over a trivial incident. This led to a chase between the two sides in the old bus stand area of the city. At least 10 people from both groups were injured.
The injured have been admitted to Madripur Sadar Hospital. Later the police went and fired several rounds of rubber bullets to bring the situation under control.

At that time, an easybike driver named Sohag Talukder was hit by a rubber bullet. Injured easybike driver Madaripur city Lt. Son of Delwar Talukdar of Farooq Road.
According to party sources, Awami League presidium member Shajahan Khan is a member of parliament from Madaripur-2 constituency and Awami League central joint general secretary Bahauddin Nashim is a member of parliament from Dhaka-8 constituency. Political dispute between these 2 leaders has been going on for a long time.
Because of this, the followers of the two leaders are divided. Sajib Sardar, a follower of Shajahan Khan, is the organizing secretary of the District Chhatra League and Suman Kazi, a follower of Bahauddin Nashim, is the vice-president of the District Chhatra League.

An eyewitness on condition of anonymity said that Sajib Sardar and Suman Kazi are making a mess. They are two followers of two groups. Because of them, the auto driver got hit by bullet.
Sohag Talukder, an easybike driver who was hit by a rubber bullet, said, I was standing on the road. Suddenly I got shot. In this regard, I called the two BCL leaders on their mobile phones, but they did not receive the call.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Madaripur Sadar Police Station HM Salah Uddin said that the police went and controlled the situation after two groups of Chhatra League chased each other. Now the situation is normal. Additional police were deployed after the incident.
