Staff Correspondent: On the occasion of the 122nd birth anniversary of the national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has paid homage to the national poet.
On Tuesday, the BNP laid a wreath at the grave of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam next to the central mosque of Dhaka University.
BNP chairperson's advisory council member Bir Muktijoddha Abdus Salam, joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon, co-organizing secretary Abdus Salam Azad, Chhatra Dal senior co-president Kazi Raunkul Islam Shravan, general secretary Iqbal Hossain Shyamal, vice-president Mostafizur Rahman and joint secretary Uddin Raju and Ariful Haque, Organizing Secretary- Saeed Mahmud Jewel, Jasas Co-President- Liaquat Ali, Shahriar Islam Shaila, Aminul Haque and Arifur Rahman, Joint Secretary- Zakir Hossain Rokon, Engineer Manju Mia and Shah Md. Many other leaders including Belal were present.
The Nationalist Chhatra Dal and the Nationalist Socio-Cultural Organization (JASAS) also paid homage to the poet by laying wreaths at his grave separately.
