Biden rolls back many orders of Trump, signs mask mandate as first executive order

International Desk: Joe Biden, the 46th President of the United States, signed a number of executive orders shortly after taking office. The most important of these was the return of the Biden administration to the historic Paris Climate Agreement. Biden also called for a change in Trump's policy on issues such as fighting corona pandemic and racial discrimination. A notice has been sent to the United Nations to return to the Paris climate agreement. The United States, led by Donald Trump, pulled the country out of the deal last year.

After taking the oath of office, wearing a mask at a desk in the Oval Office Biden signed the executive orders, saying: 'There is no time to waste. We have to work immediately. ' Biden has made it mandatory for central government offices to wear masks to prevent the spread of the corona epidemic. The newly-appointed US president called on everyone to wear masks to contain transmission, “masks be worn, social distancing, on federal property, interstate commerce, etc.” the order reads.

Biden entered the Oval Office on Wednesday (January 20th) wearing a mask shortly after taking the oath. He sat there and talked to the journalists briefly. President Biden then hit the policy left by Donald Trump.

The Biden administration has said it rescined travel ban imposed by Trump on tourists from several Muslim countries entering the United States.

Earlier, in his inauguration as the 46th President of the United States, Biden called for uprooting political extremism, white supremacy and even domestic terrorism. At the same time, he called for a fresh start and promised to bridge the gap in US politics.

The main formality begins with the American national anthem sung by the famous American musician Lady Gaga. Then Kamala Harris came on stage in a purple blazer to take oath. The oath was administered by the Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor. With this, Kamala became the first Asian American, First African American female vice president in the history of the United States. She was first greeted by her husband, Douglas Emhoff.

Earlier, as is customary for outgoing presidents to do for their successors.Trump left Biden a note, “The president wrote a very generous letter,” Biden said. “Because it was private, I won’t talk about it until I talk to him. But it was generous.”
