Sun News Desk : At least 13 dengue patients died and 2,291 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Tuesday.

With the latest death, a total of 569 people died of dengue to date this year.

Some 8,218 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.

Of them, 3,838 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 4,380 are in other divisions.

As many as 1,19,133 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.

Some 1,10,346 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
