Bangladesh has been Removed from the Red List of India

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh's name has been dropped from the 'red list' prepared by India in the context of Omicron. India has taken this decision at the request of Bangladesh.

This information has been given in the notification given by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday (November 30).

Earlier, the Hindustan Times reported that India had taken some steps to prevent coronavirus omicron type. The Indian authorities imposed extra restrictions on travel by including Bangladesh in that list. Even discounts for full-dose vaccinated travelers were canceled.

Omicron was first identified in South Africa earlier this month. Since then it has spread to a few more countries. India has identified a few other countries as 'risky' for international travel, in addition to the countries where Omicron was detected.
