Attack On Students Protesting For Half-Pass

Staff Reporter: Students of various schools and colleges in the capital are agitating to demand half fare for the students after the increase in the price of fuel oil.

On Wednesday (November 17) morning, students of Titumir College in the capital's Mohakhali Amtali area attacked a number of BCL activists while checking whether they were renting several cars halfway on the road.

At that time the leaders and activists of the Chhatra League removed the agitating students from the road.

A leader of the college student league told Sunnews that all the students protesting here are foreigners. They were creating chaos in the streets by tarnishing the name of Titumir College. So we removed them from the road. No one attacked them.

One of the protestors Rabbi said, "We came here because the Alif bus took our half-pass. But we did not understand where they came from. He suddenly started beating us. They started calling us outsiders even though we had ID cards around our necks."
