Bhasani in establishing the rights of hardworking people

Sunnews Desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani has worked all his life to establish the rights of hardworking people.

She said that he was vocal against the oppression of the Pakistani colonial rulers. He has made an important contribution to the development of Bengali nationality.

The Prime Minister said this in a message issued on Tuesday (November 17) on the occasion of the 44th death anniversary of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani.

Sheikh Hasina paid deep homage to his memory on the death anniversary.

The Prime Minister said he had ideological unity and political closeness with Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He has always struggled for the formation of a progressive, democratic and non-communal Bangladesh free from exploitation and deprivation.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul of Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhasani.
