Sun News Desk : A court in Dhaka sentenced 8 people to life-term imprisonment for killing a man in Munshiganj.

The court also fined them Tk 50,000 each, in default, they have to serve another year in jail.

Dhaka Speedy Trial Tribunal Judge Masud Karim handed down the verdict today.

The convicts are- Kamal Molla, Jalal Molla, Billal Molla, Harun Molla, Mohsin Molla, Amir Hossain, Zakir Hossain and Zaber Hossain.

The case statement said the accused kidnapped victim Sohel Pradhan, 26, son of Nasir Uddin, a resident of Tengarchar village under Gazaria Police Station in Munshiganj, from Mirpur in Dhaka on May 5 of 2017 and killed him over previous enmity.

Later, his mother filed a case with Gazaria Police Station in this connection.
