Sun News Desk: At least 750 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue fever in the last 24 hours across the country. At the same time, no one died by dengue in the country. A total 118 people have died by dengue so far this year.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Tuesday..

According to the report, 494 of those newly admitted to the hospital due to dengue are residents of Dhaka. 256 people were admitted to the hospital outside of Dhaka. Currently 2 thousand 224 people are admitted in different hospitals in Dhaka. And, 1 thousand 192 people are admitted to the hospital outside of Dhaka.

A total of 118 people have died of dengue since January 1. The first death due to dengue was reported on June 21 this year.

Noted that during the corona epidemic in 2020, dengue infection was not seen much, but in 2021, 28 thousand 429 people were infected with dengue fever across the country. In the same year, 105 people died by dengue accorss the country.
