“According to preliminary information, the automobile part of the Crimean bridge from the side of the Taman Peninsula, a truck was blown up, which caused seven fuel tanks to ignite on a train heading towards the Crimea peninsula. As a result, two lanes partially destroyed.” the committee said.

The Crimean Bridge is the only land link between Russia and Crimea. The Crimean Peninsula is considered a symbol of Russian hegemony. It is also key to sustaining Russian military operations in the south. If the Crimean bridge becomes unusable, it will become more difficult to transport goods and military equipment to the island.
