3 killed as bus-auto collide

Sun News Desk : Three people were killed in a collision between a bus and an auto-rickshaw at Borhanuddin upazila in Bhola on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Rima, 17, daughter of Kaisar Matabbar, Shikha, 17, daughter of Jahangir, and Kalam, 55, residents of Uttar Joynagar Union under Daulatkhan upazila. Deceased Rima and Shikha were 12th graders at Halima Khatun Mahila College.

Witnesses said the trio were going towards Bangla Bazar by a battery-powered auto rickshaw from Madhya Joynagar in the morning. On the way, a passenger bus coming from the opposite direction crushed the auto-rickshaw in Atoraddi area near Bangla Bazar around 9:30 am. The three died on the spot.
