2 killed in Kurigram road crash

Sun News Desk : Two persons have been killed and six others injured in a road accident in Kurigram on Tuesday.

The deceased were identified as Selina Begum, 29, a resident of Nazimkhan area of the upazila, and Sirajul Islam, 44, of Naodanga village under Ulipur upazila.

locals said that an easy bike was going to Rajarhat in the morning. At that time, a pick-up van from opposite direction ran over the easy bike in Miler Par area of the upazila. Two people died on the spot as the easy bike got twisted.

Aktaruzzaman, Rajarhat Fire Service Station leader, said the bodies were recovered and the injured were admitted to Rajarhat Upazila Health Complex.

Rajarhat Police Station officer-in-charge Abdullahil Zaman confrmed the matter.
