Sun News Desk : At least 16 dengue patients died and 2,564 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services said this in a press release on Wednesday.
With the latest death, a total of 1,046 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said on Wednesday.

Currently, 9,284 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 2,945 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 6,339 are in other divisions.

As many as 2,14,247 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 2,03,917 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
