Own Correspondent: An unidentified youth (38) died after being hit by a bus on the Jasimuddin flyover of Uttara Purba police station in the capital.

On Thursday (February 8) morning, when he was taken to DMK Hospital in a coma, the doctor in charge of the emergency department declared him dead.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Uttara East Police Station. Shamsul Alam confirmed this. He said, we were doing duty on the slope of that flyover early this morning. At this time, I learned through people that a person was injured in an accident on the flyover and was lying on the road. We went to the spot and rescued the young man and brought him to Dhaka Medical. After the examination, the doctor in charge of the emergency department said that the young man is not alive.

He also said that he could not find out the identity of the young man by asking people around the scene. Perhaps the young man was crossing the road on foot. At that time, he was seriously injured and died after being hit by a bus. The body has been kept in the mortuary of the emergency department. With the help of technology, efforts are being made to find out the identity of the young man. Legal proceedings in this regard are ongoing.
