Sun News Desk: Chinese Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe said that China's armed forces are currently on high alert and ready for any war.

Fenghe said this warning in the midst of intense tension with USA over Taiwan, reports The Wall Street Journal.
The defense minister told while talking to reporters on the sidelines of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.

He warned that China is currently going through a difficult security situation. The armed forces will follow the orders of President Xi Jinping at full speed.
He assured that the Chinese army is on high alert all time and will definitely protect the country's independence and sovereignty.

Earlier last Sunday, Chinese President Xi Jinping expressed his determination to peacefully integrate Taiwan with the Chinese mainland. He also said if not by peaceful means, then military force will be used if necessary.
In response to the Chinese President's statement, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken complained that China wants to take over Taiwan by force before the time limit that Washington had agreed upon.
Although China considers Taiwan an integral part of itself, America wants to recognize Taiwan as an independent country.

The US government has warned China that it will face US military power if it uses force in Taiwan.
In this situation, the speech of the Chinese Defense Minister is considered to be an expression of Beijing's determination to integrate Taiwan with China.
