Sun News Desk : Three people were killed and four others injured as a bus hit CNG-run auto rickshaw in Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla on Friday.

The deceased were- Al Amin, 36, his elder sister Saleha Begum, 46, residents of Daudkandi upazila; and Rohana Akhter, 32, of Afarkanda village of Chandpur district.
police and locals said a Dhaka-bound bus hit the CNG-run autorickshaw at about 1.00pm on Dhaka-Chandpur regional highway in Kabichandradi area, leaving seven people injured.

Locals rescued the injured and took them to Gouripur Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared three people--Al Amin, Saleha Begum and Rohana Akhter--dead.
Relatives of the deceased said that Al Amin had taken his sister to see a doctor in Dhaka. After coming to Gouripur by bus from Dhaka in the afternoon, they were returning home in a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw.

Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan, Daudkandi Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge, said they seized the bus, however, driver and helper of the bus managed to flee the spot.
