The Tigress in the ODI World Cup for the First Time

Sports Correspondent: Bangladesh has taken a place for the first time for being ahead in the rankings in the Women's ODI World Cup to be held in New Zealand in 2022.

Earlier, the match between Sri Lanka and West Indies was postponed on Saturday due to the spread of new variants of Corona in the countries of the African continent. As a result, the ICC confirmed the cancellation of the tournament in a statement this evening.

ICC Head of Events Chris Tetley said: 'We are saddened, at least, to have had to postpone the entire tournament because of Corona. Many countries have imposed travel bans on the country as a result of the new variant of Corona'.

"We have made a lot of decisions in this situation, As such, now judging by the rankings, Bangladesh, Pakistan and West Indies will play directly in the ODI World Cup," he added.
