Sports Desk: Sharmin Akhtar's 130 runs in the second match of the Bangladesh Women's ODI World Cup group of Bangladesh collected huge runs of 322 for 5 wickets. The bowlers then bowled out for 52 in 30.3 overs.
Bangladesh secured the Super Six by winning by 271 runs at the Sunrise Sports Club ground in Harare. They will play their third match of the group against Thailand on November 25, and the last match will be against host Zimbabwe on November 29.
The United States lost 6 wickets for 25 runs after reaching the huge target of 323 runs. Rumana Ahmed and Salma Khatun took two wickets each and collapsed in the top order.
Tara Norris and Moksha Chowdhury paused in the procession to take wickets. After breaking the 27-run partnership, Bangladesh pushed again, the best 16 runs in the innings were bowled out by Jahanara Alam. Fahima Khatun bowled Moksha (8) in the next over.
Fahima made Akshatha Rao her second victim in her next over. As Uzma Iftikhar is an absent heart, so the United States has finished with 10 batsmen.
