Wahida Khanam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Ghoraghat in Dinajpur, who was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries at the hands of miscreants, has been made Special Officer in Charge (OSD) in the Ministry of Public Administration.

On the other hand, her husband, UNO Mejbaul Hossain of Pirganj in Rangpur has been transferred to the Health Services Department of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Last Wednesday, the internal recruitment branch of the Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification for the transfer of the two.

According to the Ministry of Public Administration, Wahida Khanum needs long-term treatment. For this reason, he has not been posted for the time being and has been made a special officer in charge. Family support is especially needed to care for her. Considering these issues, both of them have been brought to Dhaka.

Incidentally, UNO Wahida Khanam and her father Omar Ali were seriously injured in a terrorist attack on the government residence at Ghoraghat in Dinajpur in the middle of the night on September 2. After receiving first aid locally, Waheeda was airlifted to the National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospital in Dhaka on 3 September. Her father was also brought to the same hospital. Currently, the condition of these two is known to be stable.
