Shops are to be closed in DSCC area by 8 pm

Correspondent: Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh urged the owners of business establishments and shops to shut their shops by 8 pm every day, as Covid-19 infections are increasing alarmingly in the country.

DSCC Mayor Taposh came up with the request while talking to reporters after visiting the Gopibagh Boys Club field at Gopibagh in the city on Wednesday (March 24) at noon as part of a weekly inspection program.

The DSCC mayor said, "I will make two dedications to the people of Dhaka through you." Since the Corona epidemic is on the rise again, all shops and businesses must be closed by 8pm.

In this context, the DSCC mayor further said, we have given a public notification. We expect that the infection to come down if everything is stopped by 6 o'clock and we can play an effective role in making Dhaka a clean and hygienic city.

At the time, among others, the corporation's chief executive officer ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, chief waste management officer Air Commodore. Badrul Amin, Chief Engineer Rezaur Rahman, Secretary Akramuzzaman, councilors of general seats and reserved seats of the concerned wards were present.
