Sun News Desk : The weather department has predicted showers in the eight divisions of Bangladesh in the next 24 hours on Wednesday.

The Met office said "Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely at many places over Rangpur and Chattogram divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi, Dhaka, Barishal, Mymensingh, Khulna and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country."
Country's highest 128 mm rainfall was recorded in Kutubdia of Cox's Bazar district in 24 hours till 6am on Wednesday.

The axis of monsoon trough runs through Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across Northern part of Bangladesh. One of its associated troughs extends up to North Bay.
