Primary students to stay at home

Sun News Desk: The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has instructed the students to stay in their respective residences to protect them from coronavirus infection.

This was stated in a circular signed by Information and Public Relations Officer of the Ministry Rabindranath Roy on Thursday (October 29).

It was informed that as per the instructions of the Ministry of Education, all types of government and private primary schools and kindergartens will remain closed till November 14. During this time students need to be in their own place of residence to protect themselves and others from coronavirus infection.

The notification sent by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education further said that the students should abide by the instructions and directives issued from time to time by the Prime Minister's Office, Cabinet Division, Ministry of Public Administration and Health Services Department. Parents will confirm the location of the students' accommodation and the local administration will closely monitor it.

In addition, the headmasters of the schools concerned will ensure that the students of their respective institutions study their textbooks at home through the concerned parents. Source: BSS
