PM seeks greater Uniqlo investment in Bangladesh

Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Overseas Employment in the Asia-Pacific Region Dr Md Shakirul Islam Khan and Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon were also present, along with other senior officials.

The Japanese delegation included Fast Retailing Co. Ltd. Director Takeshi Okazaki and Group Senior Executive Officer Yoshihiro Kunii.

The meeting reflects Bangladesh’s efforts to attract greater Japanese investment into higher-value manufacturing and diversify its apparel industry beyond conventional garment production, while strengthening long-term economic ties between the two countries.
