The National University has penalised 260 students for cheating and other forms of malpractice during its 2024 Honours fourth-year examinations.
The students’ examinations have been cancelled, and they have been barred from sitting university examinations for periods ranging from one to three years, according to a notice issued on Tuesday, October 27.
The penalties were imposed following a review by the university’s Examination Discipline Committee, which examined the students’ answer scripts, written explanations and evidence of malpractice at a meeting held on September 20.
The decisions were subsequently approved by the university’s Academic Council.
The university has published a list of the students penalised for examination malpractice.
