Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam informed about the move at a briefing of the cabinet meeting at the secretariat.

A virtual cabinet meeting was held on Monday (December 7) under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. From the edge of Ganobhaban, the Prime Minister and Ministers from the Cabinet Division of the Secretariat joined the meeting via video conference.

The cabinet secretary said, "We have received suggestions from the field administration.They say that after the fine, after the imprisonment, there is no such awareness among the people. In that case, when he fines someone, he asks to fine those four or five people who are going without a mask."

That is why it has been suggested to promote local government institutions, commercial establishments through political parties. The commerce ministry has been asked to campaign for all those under its purview, including the BCCI, and the local government ministry has been asked to campaign through its subordinates.

He said, "The Prime Minister has given clear instructions to all those in his organization that those who will come to the program, no matter what they do, must wear masks in the program. They will do a massive campaign."

Khandaker Anwarul further said, "The idea is that the way it is growing, God forbid, if the winter falls a little more, it will have more negative impact. You don't just have to go to jail. "

He said the prime minister had asked him to give him a cloth mask while running the mobile court, adding, "Then you can wash and use it." I have asked everyone in the field administration including the district administration to give a three-layer cloth mask from now on. '

The cabinet secretary said, "The cabinet has said that nothing will be possible without the mask."
