Home Minister's warning against oppose of sculpture

Staff Reporter: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has issued a warning against those who oppose the installation of sculptures of the Father of the Nation. "If anyone thinks they've become too strong, it's wrong," he said. "We will not allow any kind of anarchy in Bangladesh. ”

The Home Minister said this while talking to reporters at the Secretariat on Sunday (December 6).

The Home Minister said, “Sculpture means holding memories. Bangabandhu is the father of the nation, the greatest Bengali of all time. His memory cannot be retained - it cannot be accepted by any people of Bangladesh. In the era of Muslim civilization, Alberuni said, Ibn Battuta said, their sculptures are being adorned in different places. No one is breaking them. We say, sculpture does not mean worship; Sculpture means holding him. His contribution to the country, to the nation, to take it to heart. ”

He said, “General Secretary of Awami League has made it clear in his speech. We and those who are engaged in peacekeeping, we can say this - anarchy is said, vandalism is said, we will not allow any chaotic situation to be created. ”

Addressing the Hifazat leaders, Asaduzzaman Kamal said, “I saw a little boy on Facebook yesterday saying that the Hifazat stars gave more blood than how many were martyred in the liberation war. This is a lie, this is the confusion that is spreading in the head of a young boy.

The minister said four people were arrested in connection with the vandalism of Bangabandhu's sculpture under construction in Kushtia. "They came out of Ibn Masood Madrasa and committed the crime," he said. "One is named Abu Bakr and the other is named Nahid. Two more have been arrested on the basis of their confessions. ”
