Mild cold wave may continue

Sun News Desk: On 21st of Paush month, severe cold is blowing across the country. The country is shivering in severe winter. The sun is covered by thick fog. The whole country including the capital Dhaka is affected due to the falling temperature. As a result, it has an impact on public health.

Common people of northern region face terrible conditions especially in freezing cold wind, thick fog. Meanwhile, in Dinajpur, no one leaves the house unless absolute necessary. Low-income earners are the most vulnerable here.

The Meteorological Department said the amount of fog may decrease slightly. The face of the sun can be seen anywhere in the country in the afternoon. But after a day or two more fog may appear.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the country may remain dry with partly cloudy skies. Moderate to dense fog is likely to fall over the country from midnight to morning and may persist till noon in some parts of the country.

Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged and day temperature may rise slightly over the country during the period.

The country's highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded 28.2 degrees Celsius at Teknaf in Chattogram division while today's minimum temperature was 9.0 degrees Celsius at Jashore in Khulna division.

The sun sets at 5:25pm today and rises at 6:43am tomorrow in the capital.
