The government will begin an emergency measles vaccination from Sunday (April 5). Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Husain made the announcement at a press conference at the Secretariat on Wednesday.
Speaking at a briefing, the minister said the campaign will continue until full coverage is achieved among children aged between six months and 10 years.
He added that alongside the measles vaccination drive, other routine immunization activities under the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) will also continue.
The initiative comes as part of efforts to protect children and prevent the spread of measles across the country.
