Sunnews Desk: US President Joe Biden is taking a short leave of absence for medical treatment. In Biden's absence, Vice President Kamala Harris will temporarily take over the presidency.
According to White House sources, Biden will be under anesthesia for a colonoscopy on Friday (November 20). As a rule, Biden cannot be president of the United States while unconscious. Kamala will be president only for this time.
During her tenure as caretaker president, Harris has full control of the US military and nuclear arsenal.
