Sports Desk: Football magician Diego Maradona has left the world and crossed over. One of the best players in football history died of a cardiac arrest on Wednesday.

Maradona was born in 1960 in Lanus, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He spent his childhood in a poor family with great difficulty. Not studying, he was addicted to football. He used to fall with the ball all the time. At the age of 10, came on the field to play for Estrea Roger.

1960: Born on October 30 in the district of Lenas in the province of Buenos Aires.

1976: Debut for a local club.

1977: On 27 February, Argentina's youngest player to play against Hungary. At that time he was 16 years and 120 days old.

1978: Excluded from World Cup squad due to young age.

1979: On June 2, he scored his first international goal of his life at the Youth World Cup in Japan. He also won the title as a captain.

1982: At the age of 21, he moved to Europe with the team to play in the World Cup in Spain. Argentina lost 3-1 to Brazil.

1984: Joins Italian club Napoli. In exchange for 4.68 million.

1986: The glory of God's hand and the extraordinary craftsmanship brought Argentina to the World Cup. That same year he received the award for the best footballer in Europe.

1987: Napoli win the Italian football title.

1990: Fine in child custody case. Argentina lost 0-1 to Germany in the World Cup final.

1991: Leaving Italy after testing positive for drugs. Arrested in Argentina on charges of taking cocaine.

1992: Joins Spanish club Seviat Football Club. But did not show the expected sportsmanship.

1993: Leaving Sevilla and returning to Argentina. Joined the local Noel Old Boys team.

1994: Failed a drug test again and dropped out of the World Cup after one match. After that he did not play in the national team.

1996: Admitted to clinic to recover from drug addiction.

1997: Retired at the age of 36.

2000: Admitted to a Uruguayan hospital for heart problems.

2002: Moves to Cuba in hopes of recovering from drug addiction.

2003: Maradona meets his son for the first time. Before that he had always denied him as a son.

2004: On April 19, he was again taken to hospital in critical condition.

2008: The Argentine Football Association announces that Maradona has been the coach of the Argentine national football team since December 2010.

2010: Resigns as national football team coach.

2011: Al Wasel takes over as coach of the UAE football team.
