Sports Desk: India did not have a good start to the tour of Australia. The three-match ODI series has started at the rate of 66 runs. After losing the match, the Indian team has to pay the fine again. Indian cricketers have been fined 20% of their match fees for slow over rate in Sydney.
The ICC confirmed the matter in a press release. ICC match referee David Boone said the Indian cricket team was one over behind schedule.
India captain Virat Kohli did not need a hearing as he pleaded guilty.
In the first match, Australia beat India with a great performance. Australia won the toss and chose to bat and scored 374 runs for 6 wickets. In reply, India lost 8 wickets and could not make more than 308 runs. The hosts are 1-0 up in the three-match ODI series with an 66 run victory. The two teams will play the second match on Sunday (November 29) at the same ground.
