International Desk: A court of the country has sentenced Imran and Bushra Bibi to 7 years in prison for marrying Bushra Bibi before the end of Iddat in violation of Sharia law.

A temporary court in Pakistan's Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi pronounced the verdict against Imran and Bushra. In addition to the prison sentence, the court fined them 5 lakh rupees. Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi were present in that special court when the verdict was announced.
The court sentenced Imran and Bushra in the case filed by Bushra Bibi's ex-husband Khawar Manekar. In the case, Khawar Maneka alleged that Bushra Bibi married Imran Khan soon after divorcing him, which is a clear violation of Sharia law.

Imran Khan spoke to the journalists present in the court after announcing the verdict in the Khawar Manekar case against cheating. He told reporters that such a case was filed to harass him and his wife.
Incidentally, on January 31, a special court sentenced Imran to 14 years in prison in the (Toshakhana) case for allegedly buying government gifts at a low price.
