Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said in a statement on Thursday, "Our operation in Khan Yunis (the southern city of Gaza) is succeeding. Besides, soon our troops will reach Rafah and destroy the hideouts of terrorists.'
Incidentally, on October 7, Hamas fighters killed more than 1,200 people, including military-civilian Israelis and foreign citizens, by ambushing Israel's Erez border. Along with that, 240 Israelis and citizens of other countries were taken hostage.

In fact, Israel saw so many people killed in one day for the first time in its 75-year history since its founding in 1948. In response to the attack, the Israeli Air Force launched an operation in Gaza from that day, and a week later, the ground forces joined the Air Force.
However, compared to the Israelis, more than 27,000 Palestinian civilians including children have been killed and at least 60,000 have been injured in Gaza in the last four and a half months, and hundreds of thousands of people are still buried under the rubble of various buildings that collapsed due to Israeli bombardment.
