Sun News Desk: Awami League lawmaker Haji Mohammad Salim has been freed on bail. He was in a prison cell at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in the capital.

Md Salim, Dhaka Central Jail's deputy jailer, said they freed Haji Salim on Tuesday afternoon according to the court's rules and removed the prison guards.
He also said the jail authorities received Haji Salim's bail paper earlier this morning and went to the hospital with the paper.

On December 6, the Appellate Division granted bail to the Awami League lawmaker in a corruption case.
