Government is working on Mass Media Employees Bill: Information Minister

Staff Correspondent: Information Minister. Hasan Mahmud has said that the Mass Media Employees Bill will come up in the parliament soon. The government is very sincere in this regard. The government is working on this law.

He called on the employers to ensure that the media personnel get their salaries and allowances properly.

He said Bangabandhu Satellite is a matter of great pride. It is ready for media use. Bangabandhu Satellite is doing multidimensional functions.

Information minister was sharing his views with the reporters after inspecting the activities of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited at Bangla Motor in the capital on Monday (February 1).

The minister said the government does not want to shut down the OTT platform. Besides, the government is working to prevent airing of local advertisements on paid foreign channels.

The Minister said that Bangabandhu Satellite Company is ready to provide technical support in determining TRP. At the same time, it is ready to create clean feeds of foreign channels.

Earlier, Information Minister inspected the activities of the Bangabandhu Satellite Company.
